FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Job Description:

• To perform financial functions related to the collection, accuracy, recording, analysis and presentation of a business, organization or company’s financial operations.
• Responsible for the management, preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements for parent and subsidiaries.
• Lead and guide the Accounts team on monthly management account & yearly budget.
• Report on the actual financial performances against budget and previous years and explain the variances with facts and figures.
• Manage cash flow to ensure fund availability for expenditures and payments.
• Responsible for the preparation of annual report and liaising with company secretary and printing house. Preparation of announcements, board papers, forecast and corporate presentations and participation in financing transactions.
• Review & analysis monthly management accounts and ensure monthly management reports are complete, accurate and submitted on time.
• Ensure that accounting matters comply with statutory requirements and company policies and maintain financial security by following internal controls.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Liaised & coordinated with tax agent, auditors, company secretary, bankers & government authorities.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting, finance or related field.
• A Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants or any of professional accounting bodies recognized in Malaysia.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance for Shopping Mall/ Retail Industries.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements and consolidation.
• Working experience with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
• Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.
